Protagonists were designed by Akira Toriyama, with Etrian Odyssey creator Kazuya Niinou serving as the game’s director.[9][1] The game was initially announced in July 2015 to be under development for PlayStation 4,PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.[10] It was released in Japan on January 28, 2016, and will be released in North America, Europe, and Australia in October 2016.[11][4]
